Background
Techstars, the Tuscaloosa County Economic Development Authority, and the University of Alabama designed the program to prepare WaterTech and sustainability founders for customers, mentors, and later capital. Founder Catalyst participation does not carry Techstars' standard accelerator investment.
How the application really works
The Fall 2026 deadline passed on 2026-08-07. Wait for a new official announcement; do not treat the generic Techstars directory as an open application for this cohort.
Tips
- Read the cited current official page before applying because program dates and terms are volatile.
- State fit with the documented stage, geography, and attendance model; do not rely on an aggregator's old terms.
- Ask for the complete investment, fee, and follow-on documents when the public page does not publish them.
Watch out for
- No investment, no equity, and no program fee.
- Corrected accelerator type and terms. The 2026-08-07 deadline has passed, so status is closed and no stale past date is stored as next deadline.
Track record
- The current cohort provides mentor, customer, and investor preparation; no cash investment or alumni funding statistic is promised.
Capped at 25; application count not published.
